A Lebanon man is facing charges after police investigated a report of an attempted break-in at a residence on Morgan Road. Officers were called when the resident said a man tried to open her back door but ran off when the alarm sounded. Using a description given by the resident, officers located 55-year-old Vernon Redmond Junior walking around and putting rocks and gravel in his pockets. The officer was given consent to search him and found Redmond in possession of a small baggy that contained a crystal substance. Redmond is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and was issued a summons to appear in court on May 24th.

A woman who had been warned not to return to Walmart in Lebanon was arrested at the store on April 18th. Lebanon Police were called for a report of trespassing and took 33-year-old Shannon Michelle Stark into custody. The arresting officer searched Stark’s purse and located a tin container that held pink pills that were identified as a schedule 4 drug, two burnt marijuana cigarettes, and 2 baggies of an unidentified brown powdered substance. Also located was a tin that held a small baggie that tested positive for methamphetamine. Stark is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, and was issued a summons to appear in court on May 24th.
