Transgender Bills Considered In House

The Missouri House is considering a pair of transgender bills that passed the Senate. One would charge medical providers for ‘coercing’ anyone under 18 years old to undergo a gender transition. During the inquiry, Democratic Representative Aaron Crossley of Independence asked the bill sponsor, Republican Senator Mike Moon, why he voted to make it illegal for kids to be married to adults if their parents consented to it…

The other bill, sponsored by Republican Senator Holly Thompson Rehder, would ban transgender athletes from playing female sports. The bills could be voted out of committee soon.
