Traffic volumes down 40 percent, but Big Rigs keep rolling

Despite the fact that traffic volumes across the country are down approximately 40%, many vehicles are still traveling the state’s roadways. Trucks continue to carry much needed supplies, and drivers are working on tight schedules. Tom Crawford with the Missouri Truck Drivers Association says these essential workers are dealing with added stress on a daily basis…

Crawford says there is something that people can do to help reduce the truck drivers stress, or at least make their day a little brighter…

When on the road, remember to give trucks plenty of room, and keep in mind that they probably won’t be traveling at the same speed as passenger vehicles.
