A Camdenton woman is facing felony drug charges, following a traffic stop by the Highway Patrol, in early December. According to the trooper, he pulled over a vehicle for an expired license plate. During the investigation, the woman, identified as Kristi Bates was walking to the trooper’s car and dropped a baggie that contained a crystal substance, that later tested positive as methamphetamine. Bates was also found to be hiding a second bag of meth under her jacket, and there was a digital scale located in her car. Bates reportedly told the Trooper that she was trying to make money to pay to license her car.  A warrant was issued for the arrest of Kristi Bates on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.
