Traffic stop and drug charge

A Lebanon man is facing charges following an investigation that began with a traffic stop. A Lebanon Police officer reported that he pulled over a vehicle in the area of Fourth Street for a headlight violation. When the officer ran a check through dispatch it was learned that a passenger identified as Derrian Gregory was on probation for possession of a controlled substance. The officer was given permission to search the vehicle and occupants and located a key ring on Gregory that held a small container with a substance inside. A field test of the substance allegedly showed positive for the presence of methamphetamine. Gregory was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and was issued a summons to appear in court.
