Tractor Trailer Accident Closes Interstate in Laclede County

A 28-year old Union City California man suffered serious injuries last night on I-44 at the 120 Mile Marker in Laclede County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that Raginder Singh, fell asleep while driving eastbound on the interstate. Singh’s vehicle then ran off the left side of the roadway, causing the driver to overcorrect, returning to the highway, traveling off the right side of the road, striking a rock bluff, and coming to rest on the road blocking both lanes. Singh was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield following the 9:10 p.m. accident.
