The Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge Transportation Development District has announced some exciting news. The Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge which has been used as a toll bridge, is soon to be toll-free. Executive Director of the Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge Transportation Development District Jim Werner says with the help of his team the bridge has been around for a long time.
Werner said the bridge was supposed to be toll-free in two years, but they were able to move that timeline up thanks to collecting enough tolls from customers.
Over 35 million vehicles have crossed the bridge since it opened in 1998, and will soon be able to cross it cost free to go about there everyday activities. The bridge should be without a toll by April 30th of 2024.
