Today is the last day to file to be a candidate in the April 7th elections

Today is the last day to file for anyone who wants to run for a city office or for school board this year in the state of Missouri. Prospective candidates have until 5 o’ clock this evening to file at the city clerk’s office or in the superintendent of school’s office in each respective community. General municipal election day will be on Tuesday, April 7th. The deadline for individuals to register to vote in that election is March 11th. While the filing deadline is today for anyone who wants to run for city office or for school board this year, the filing period for candidates who want to run for county or state office in the August primary will be February 25th through March 31st.
