Time to, “Shake your Mooo Thing”

The 37th annual Dixon Cow Days Fall Festival begins today in Downtown Dixon. Get ready to “Shake Your Moo Thang” with plenty of free entertainment, a merchant cow giveaway this evening, and much more. The free entertainment begins at noon with Jordan Isakson performing country and honky tonk music on the main stage. Then, it’s Helen Russell and Company performing a variety of music at 2:30. The official Cow Days opening ceremony begins at 5 o’clock with the National Anthem performed by Jenna Hamilton. The Dixon High School Royalty candidates will be presented, with a youth pageant and mullet contest following.
A Corn Hole tournament will begin at 6 o’clock. 6 o’clock also will begin the registration for a Karaoke contest right after the Merchant Cow giveaway at 8 o’clock.
Here’s Dixon Chamber President Lacey Rollins.

All afternoon and evening, individuals can shop the many crafts and organization booths and a full block of food vendors.

There will be bounce houses and pony rides available for children for a modest charge. Tomorrow is an even bigger day with the annual Cow Days parade at 11 o’ clock in the morning. Parade Grand Marshals will be Jake and Wanda Warren.
