Three-vehicle chain reaction traffic accident on Highway 17 fourteen miles north of Houston

A three-vehicle chain reaction traffic accident on Highway 17 fourteen miles north of Houston early Wednesday evening sent a 16-year-old male juvenile to the hospital for treatment of injuries. The highway patrol says a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 46-year-old Melissa M. Moda of Success failed to yield and turned left into a 1999 Chevrolet S-10, driven by the unidentified male juvenile from Success. The teenager’s truck overturned. Moda’s Jeep traveled off the roadway and struck a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 61-year-od Leslie H. Eyman of Success. Moda’s Jeep then swerved across the highway and overturned. The juvenile, who is old enough to have a driver’s license but not old enough to be identified, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston for treatment of minor injuries.
