(Rolla)–A three-vehicle chain-reaction pileup Thursday evening at the 172-mile marker of westbound I-44 has resulted in minor injuries for a Phelps County teenager. Injured in the mishap was 18-year-old Meagan C. Evans of Rolla, the driver of a 2007 Chrysler 2000 which left the interstate, struck a guardrail, and returned to the roadway and was struck by a 2002 Mazda Protege, driven by 19-year-old Grace Morales-Ortiz of Fort Leonard Wood. A 2012 Mazda Five, driven by 52-year-old Leeann Myers of St. Robert, then struck both the Morales-Ortiz and the Evans vehicles.
Evans received minor injuries and was transported by Phelps Health E-M-S to Phelps Health in Rolla for treatment. Neither Morales-Ortiz nor Myers was injured in the accident.
