Three Dead, Including Two Teenagers In Phelps County Accident

Three people, including two teenagers, are dead following a four-vehicle accident at 8:53 last night on Highway 63, south of County Road 5170 in Phelps County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a car driven by 61-year-old Patrick L. Perry of Newburg crossed the center line, struck an S.U.V. driven by a 16-year-old unnamed juvenile, and then struck a 3rd vehicle driven by 18-year-old Michael A. Sutton of Edgar Springs. After the initial impact, two of the vehicles hit a pickup driven by a 16-year-old juvenile from Edgar Springs. Sutton and a passenger in his car, 19-year-old Grace E. Gorman of Rolla and Perry, were all pronounced deceased at the scene. The others suffered minor injuries and were transported to Phelps Health in Rolla.
