This Friday marks the return of Rolla’s Route66 Summerfest

This Friday marks the return of Rolla’s Route66 Summerfest, with programming continuing through Saturday night. The 29th annual edition of the event begins with a “chrome procession” traveling the Mother Road from St. James to Rolla. The Miss Route 66 and Miss Summerfest pageant contestants will then arrive at the festival in cruisers of their choice. The festival itself will consist of live music, competitions, races, food trucks, craft vendors, kids’ activities, and more. The festival starts at 4:30 PM on June 2nd. A movie, a surprise new release, will be shown under the stars later that night. Saturday’s itinerary begins with a car show on Pine Street at 8:00 AM. A motorcycle show follows at 10, and a motorcycle poker run follows that at 1:30 PM.
