As in the past, there’s good news and bad news when it comes to Covid in Pulaski County. The good news is that the number of new cases on a weekly basis has fallen for the second week in a row. For the period of November 14th through the 20th, there were 84 new Covid cases reported in the county. The bad news is that Pulaski County is still considered a high-risk county for community transmission of the virus. In fact, every county in the state is now in the high-risk category. The state with the lowest risk of Covid transmission, by the way, is Florida where a vast majority of counties have only a moderate risk. Almost 30,000 residents of Pulaski County are considered to be fully vaccinated against Covid. That’s 56.2 percent of the population. Nearly 35,000 residents have taken at least one dose of the Covid vaccine, pushing the county’s percentage up to 66.4 percent. There was no Covid-related fatality reported last week in the county.
