The U. S. Army Forces Command is warning military personnel and their families not to be taken in by scams
The U. S. Army Forces Command is warning military personnel and their families not to be taken in by romance scams, identity theft, phishing, and text and e-mail scams this summer. The Command advises not falling for investment and cryptocurrency scams that proclaim a great investment opportunity, promising you high returns with no risk, a professional-looking website with no information about the company, and offering to walk you through your first few trades with claims of having inside knowledge.
And never send money to someone claiming to be a soldier who says he or she is deployed and needs money to get home. Service members will never be deployed and left to find their own way home. Find out more about social media and online scams at the U. S. Army’s social media safety and security page, army.mil/socialmedia/safety.
