The state has reached record levels of hospitalizations for COVID-19 – and its hitting the rural areas.
Dave Dillon – spokesman for the state hospital association:

Hospitals in Springfield are being hard hit—with two-thirds of the patients coming from outside of Greene County.

Dillon says rates are better in town and cities where masks are worn more widely.

The hospitals are tracking—and bracing for — the beginning of flu season – and are urging flu shots for everyone.

The hospital association is now monitoring early flu-like cases across the state.
