The Richland School District will not be able to offer the after-school program for students this year. This news comes after the district was notified they won’t be receiving a grant that has been funding the program for 5 years. School Superintendent Dr. Tina Turner expressed disappointment saying the grant allowed them to provide much-needed services to the students and the community

Turner said this will also impact staff who have been providing the enrichment programs after school

Those programs won’t be available at Richland R-4. The competitive grant would have been enough to fund the programs for 5 years.
