The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting that 8 people died in traffic crashes
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting that 8 people died in traffic crashes during the 78-hour holiday counting period, which began at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 23rd, and ended at 11:59 p.m. Sunday. 5 people died on December 24th, including 57-year-old Kenneth Mustain of Camdenton who died in an ATV wreck. There were two traffic-related deaths on Christmas day, and one fatality on December 26th. Troopers investigated a total of 310 crashes with 92 injuries. There were also 67 DWI arrests over the holiday counting period. During the 2020 Christmas holiday, troopers investigated 307 traffic crashes which included all 10 fatalities and 86 injuries.
