The long Labor Day holiday travel period will begin Friday evening. The Missouri Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials will be prepared to assist motorists and enforce the state’s traffic laws for this higher volume traffic period. Troop I Information and Education Officer, Sergeant Mike Mitchell, says the last Labor Day traffic period proved to be particularly hazardous.

The 2021 counting period for the Labor Day Holiday will be from 6 o’clock Friday evening through 11:59 Monday, September 6th.
