The Fort Wood Fire Department will hold “Fire Fest” this Saturday from 10 a-m to 2 p-m

The Fort Wood Fire Department will get a jump on next week’s National Fire Prevention Week by holding a Fire Fest this Saturday from 10 a-m to 2 p-m at the Aafes Main Exchange, building 487, Constitutional Avenue. A live band will be playing from 10 to 2. You and your children can meet your local firefighters, tour a fire safety trailer, meet Sparky the fire dog, and look at the department’s fire trucks. Food and refreshments prepared by the U-S-O will be available. The motto of Fire Prevention Week is “Fire Won’t Wait, Plan Your Escape.” For more information, call 573-596-0886.
