The Fort Leonard Wood area now is being served by a new air carrier at the Waynesville-St. Robert Regional Airport at Fort Leonard Wood.
Regional Airport Committee Chairman George Lauritson says the change in providers from Contour Airlines has several advantages.

A United Express Jet Service celebration marking the changeover will be held for local government leaders, local SkyWest team members, and members of the media on Thursday, October 21st, at 8:30 a-m. A downside to the transition from Contour Airlines to Air West is that it will no longer be possible to fly from Fort Leonard Wood directly to
St. Louis. Alternate transportation will have to be arranged in order to do that.
