(Crocker)–The Covid-19 Pandemic in Pulaski County shows no sign of letting up. The Pulaski County Health Department has released this week’s coronavirus update.
It reports a 158 increase in positive Covid tests since last Tuesday. Combined with a Fort Leonard Wood jurisdiction adjustment, that brings the aggregate total to 1,328 coronavirus cases this year. Adjustments were made to include all negative tests performed at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. The state has changed the way cases for newly arriving trainees are reported and therefore the aggregate total was adjusted to make up for cases that were not previously counted as they were historically transferred back to the home of origin of the individual because they were positive upon arrival. 1,734 negative Covid tests were administered since last Tuesday. That, plus a negative test adjustment, brings the negative test aggregate total to 21,167.
There currently is one patient currently hospitalized with coronavirus. There have been 3 new Covid-related death reports since last week for an aggregate total of 11 deaths. The Health Department reports current locations of active outbreaks to include Walmart in St. Robert, Lifecare Center in Waynesville, EDP, the Piney Ridge Center in Waynesville, all Pulaski County school districts, Dixon Nursing and Rehab, and Richland Care Center. While the Health Department does investigate and post public places that may have been a higher risk of public exposure, it is best to assume that every location you visit is a location of potential exposure and take the appropriate precautions to protect yourselves, your families, and our communities.
