The cost of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is up 20 percent this year

The Farm Bureau’s 37th annual survey of the cost of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is out and it shows that the cost of a traditional meal is up 20 percent this year.

A 16-pound turkey will eat up nearly half of the increase at about $29, up 21 percent from last year. Frozen dinner rolls are up 22 percent and will cost about $3.75. traditional sweet potatoes and a gallon of whole milk both are around $4, up 16 percent and 11 percent from last year.
