The average number of COVID cases in Laclede County is down to around two new cases per day. About six weeks ago that number was between 25 and 30. Unfortunately, the number of deaths from the virus continues to climb. Laclede County has reported ten deaths over the last five days. Nearly 16-thousand Missouri residents are confirmed to have died from COVID, while another 3,800 deaths are awaiting official confirmation, putting the actual total near 20-thousand lives lost. Around 1.13 million Missouri residents have tested positive for the virus since March of 2020.
