The Army Traffic Safety Training Program has scheduled motorcycle training courses

The Army Traffic Safety Training Program has scheduled motorcycle training courses to allow military members on Fort Leonard Wood to study up on the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe on the road. The basic course is scheduled to take place April 4th and 5th, 11th and 12th, 18th and 19th, and 25th and 26th. The advanced course will be held on April 6th, 13th, and 27th. Courses take place at Training Area 209A, just south of Forney Airfield. Military members must take the basic course if they want to drive a motorcycle. The basic course is completed on training motorcycles. The advanced course, which needs to be taken within the first year after completing the basic course, is completed on the rider’s personal motorcycle. Advanced course certification is good for 5 years, at which time they’ll need to take the course again. Any service member is eligible to register for the courses, and Department of Defense civilian workers are also eligible for the first time starting this year. Dependents and contractors are not eligible. To register for the courses, visit imc.army.mil/airs/default.aspx.
