The Addams Family Musical

The Waynesville High School theatre department and Thespian Troupe 1669 will present the musical, “The Addams Family” later this month. The School Edition of the play will feature a new story from the Classic macabre (muh-cob) cartoonish family, The Addams Family. Waynesville High School Theatre director Charles Davis explains the plot.

The musical will be the School edition of the play, which is more family-friendly and pulls back on the inuendos, but still has that classic Addams Family charm. Davis says that people should come for the sheer talent of the performers alone.

The Addams Family Musical will be 7 p.m. on April 21, 22, 23, 29, and 30; and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, in the Waynesville High School Auditorium. Tickets are $7 each and children age 10 and under are $5 each. The musical is rated PG. Tickets can be bought online at https://our.show/whs/family
