Texas County Special Election

A Texas County Judge has ordered a special election scheduled for November. Last April, voters rejected a tax hike for the Houston Rural Fire Protection District; that ballot measure failed by just five votes. A group of supporters of the measure filed a lawsuit, challenging those results, and a judge ruled in their favor spurring the special election.
