Texas County resets court hearing for Murder suspect

A Texas County man accused of murder will be back in court in March. The trial setting for Michael Nugent of Eunice was rescheduled to March 2nd in a hearing last week in Texas County. Nugent is accused of shooting Crue Ridenoure, who was found in a ditch on Highway W on October 10th, 2019, near Midvale. Prior to his death, Ridenoure allegedly told responders that Nugent had shot him. Nugent is charged with first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.
