Texas County Jail Death investigation

The Highway Patrol is investigating after a 32-year-old woman was found dead in a holding cell in the Texas County Jail. According to Sheriff Scott Lindsey, 32-year-old Krystal Base was found unresponsive on Monday night and jail staff attempted to provide medical aid and contacted EMS. Attempts to save the woman were unsuccessful. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating the death at the request of the Sheriff.
