Texas County Homicide

Authorities in Texas County are investigating a stabbing death that occurred early Wednesday morning. 30-year-old Billy Hayes, Junior was found dead with numerous stab wounds at a friend’s house in the 300 block of Broadway Street in Houston. This is believed to be the first homicide in Houston in 23 years. A suspect has been arrested, but no formal charges have been filed. Members of the Missouri Highway Patrol, Texas County Sheriffs Department, and the Houston Police Department are involved in the investigation.
