Texas County Fatality

A teenager from Cabool was killed, and two other teens from Cabool were injured in a one-vehicle crash in Texas County on Saturday night. Highway patrol reports indicate that a 14-year-old female was driving on Highway 181, two miles south of Cabool, when she lost control, traveled off the right side of the road, and overturned, striking a fence. She was seriously injured and flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. A passenger, a 13-year-old female, was killed in the crash. Another passenger, a 13-year-old male, received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital for treatment. That crash occurred shortly after 10:30 Saturday night. None of the teens were wearing a seat belt.
