Teen Unconscious and Submerged in Stockton Lake

One teen is recovering from serious injuries after nearly drowning Saturday afternoon at Stockton Lake; Near Crabtree Cove Campground. The incident occurred as 17 year old, Carthage, Missouri resident, Furious E Laney, jumped off of a bluff; Upon impact with the water he became unconscious and submerged. Laney was transported by Cox air ambulance to Cox South in Springfield.
The rescue was assisted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Park Rangers.
