(Waynesville)–A lot of shoppers will be out today and tomorrow trying to find some last-minute items for Christmas. In all of this last-minute rush, it’s easy for hectic shoppers to forget some basic safety precautions.  Pulaski County Sheriff Jimmy Bench reports his department receives a number of calls each year from consumers who have had their wallets and other valuables stolen from their vehicles.

Again, don’t leave any valuables in clear sight of would-be thieves, and do make sure that the vehicle is locked before going into a store to shop.
