Tabor charged in stabbing

A Lebanon man is in custody without bond in connection with a stabbing in Lebanon on Thursday, May 6th. Lebanon Police were called after Mercy staff found a 61-year-old man who had collapsed in the parking lot of the hospital, and was covered in blood. The victim said he had picked up a man at Red Fox Motel and was taking him to a friend’s house when he began acting crazy. He said he stopped at the intersection near Harrison and Second, and told the man to get out, and that’s when the suspect pulled a knife and tried to stab him, but cut his arm when he put it up to fend off the attack. During the course of the investigation, Police identified the suspect as 59-year-old Michael A. Tabor and arrested him at a residence in the 200 block of Garfield. Tabor is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action.
