Susan Marie Filloon, daughter of the late Billy and Willa Mae (McPheeters) Butts, was born on August 27, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri and departed this life on June 6, 2024, in Lowry City, Missouri with son and brother by her side. At the time of her passing she was 69 years, nine months, and eight days of age.

Susan was raised in the Urbana area and after high school she moved away. In the late 80s she returned with her family to help take over the family water well business. Susan was not afraid of hard work. She owned and operated multiple businesses throughout her life including multiple flower shops, a dollar store, and a kettle corn trailer. Susan was always on the lookout for her next big idea. She loved her family, church, her community, and going fast. She especially had a heart for children and children’s ministry. She was a founding member of Prairie Chapel Church, serving as a youth group leader organizing many events and driving kids all around. Susan was a beloved mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She held many titles and loved each one of them. Susan will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son Ryan Filloon and wife Jayme, granddaughters Delaney and McKenna, brother Steve Butts and Kim Johnson, nephews Tyler Butts and wife Dana, Travis Butts and wife Savannah, niece Miranda Pinkley, great nephews Kyle, Shawn, Rhett and Zane Butts, Nolan and Tanner Pinkley, as well as numerous beloved extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be given to Howard Chapel Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the Prairie Chapel Church, Urbana, Missouri with Pastor Jeff Cole officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Church. Interment will be in the Howard Chapel Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home.
