Each year, the City of Lebanon compiles a list of items that are considered surplus. City Administrator Mike Schumacher said many times the items considered surplus are at the end of their life…

Schumacher said it doesn’t cost taxpayer dollars to use the auction service because the buyers pay a fee when they purchase an item, and then the money goes back into the city coffers and is invested in city operations. The majority of the items that are currently being placed in the surplus auction are from the Fire Department, Street Department, Electric Department and Wastewater.
