A Camden County Deputy who was attempting to serve an arrest warrant ended up in a foot pursuit with the suspect. On Thursday October 5th, the deputy went to the residence to serve a warrant to 32 year old Dillon Marschke of Sunrise Beach and as he was arriving, Marschke reportedly ran off the back porch. The deputy pursued him on foot past a pond, and into the woods. He caught up with Marschke as he was trying to push through a briar patch. Additional Deputies responded to assist and Marschke was taken into custody. After he was placed in a patrol vehicle, Marschke allegedly attempted to escape trying to open the door, and later attempted to break a window using his elbow and head. He is charged with attempted escape from custody and resisting arrest.
