Summer Safety Day Wednesday, June 14th
The Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service offices are encouraging Missourians to make themselves aware of the safety risks that summer weather brings. The agencies are encourage residents to do that by observing Summer Safety Day on Wednesday, June 14th. Runnels says you can find a cooling center by contacting local authorities. Runnels adds that it’s also important to check on elderly neighbors, and to make sure that pets are taken care of during the summertime……
Runnels says, during the summertime, it’s best to take care of outdoor activities during the early-morning or late-evening hours.
