Parents who have students in the Lebanon R-3 School District will soon be receiving a consent form which will allow the school nurse to conduct a Covid 19 test when the student is symptomatic. R3 Superintendent David Schmitz tells Regional Radio News the district has received a large number of the tests…

He said once the consent form is signed by a parent they will be able to conduct an antigen test in the nurse’s office…

Dr. Schmitz said that having the antigen test available will allow for peace of mind for the parents, students, and staff, and potentially fewer absences due to quarantines because of that potential exposures. He encourages parents to sign the consent form and send it back with the student, but he said if necessary they can ask for consent once a student presents with symptoms.
