The City of Lebanon is continuing work which will change the configuration of Van Buren Street and hopefully improve traffic flow. The project which includes the removal of a city owned building is on track to be complete sometime during the Spring of 2020, according to Public Works Director Richard Shockley….

Shockley said that the street paving part of the project is about 500 linear feet. Once complete the Van Buren reconfiguration will mean a safer option for drivers, because there will be fewer left turns. He said once complete, this should give local drivers another direction of travel, and alleviate congestion on Jefferson Avenue.
