Stoutland Library not closing

The Camden County Library District went to Facebook to address a rumor that the Camden County Library District is closing the Stoutland Library branch. Executive Director Michael Davis posted that “inflation has taken its toll on the library’s finances. Among many cost savings proposals, one that was considered was closing a branch”, but the Library Board decided against it. In total there are 6 branches of the Camden County Library District, and according to Davis’ Facebook Post, no branches of the Camden County Library District will be permanently closed. Regional Radio News reached out the Davis and at that time he referred us to the post with no further comment.
