Lebanon Police have made an arrest in connection with a burglary in the 600 block of East Elm Street this week. Officers responded to a business, where someone had pushed out a window, and climbed in. Missing from the shop was a laptop, and a tool bag, and multiple tools that were valued at around $500. The door to the office was kicked causing damage. Officers then responded to a business at 599 East Elm, where a second shop had been broken into. The office window was broken, but it didn’t appear anything was stolen; however, a cell phone, belonging to the suspect had been left on the floor. An officer located the suspect at the Laclede County Fairgrounds. 33-year-old Michael Sergeant was arrested and charged with burglary. The stolen tools were recovered from an abandoned apartment on Millcreek Road.
