Stolen mail reports in Pulaski County

(Waynesville)–Pulaski County Sheriff Jimmy Bench says there have been reports of someone stealing mail from mailboxes in the Highway W and Highway Double-N areas of the county. A batch of mail from the Highway W-Turkey Ridge area and from some addresses on Highway Double-N reportedly was found at the end of Double-N Highway. With the Federal Government sending some stimulus checks through the mail, Sheriff Bench is advising residents in the Turkey Ridge-Buckhorn-Laquey area, and in other areas of the county, to vigilantly watch their mailboxes. He urges any resident who sees a suspicious person walking along the roadway, or a suspicious motor vehicle stopping at mailboxes, to report the incidents to his office immediately by calling 774-6196
