Stolen Guns seized during search in Laclede County

More than 30 guns were seized and a convicted felon was arrested following an investigation by the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office, the Highway Patrol, and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group. Law Enforcement served a search warrant in the 18-thousand block of Kansas Road, on Tuesday, where they found the guns, some of which had been reported stolen in Laclede County and in Springfield. According to Sheriff David Millsap, most of the guns were traded for methamphetamine, and illegal drugs were seized at the scene. They also located a stolen game camera. 29 year old Justin Perry King of Eldridge was arrested at the scene and is being held on a probation violation. A second man was arrested at the scene, with charges pending. The Sheriff’s Office reports they will work to identify the guns, based on reports of stolen guns. Any potential owner of a gun that was seized will be contacted.
