Stealing checks from the mail

Lebanon Police have recently received several reports of theft of checks and bank fraud causing financial damage. Sergeant Kacie Springer tells us that many times the thieves are intercepting checks that have been sent for payment through the mail.
Sergeant Springer said they are working with the postal service to come up with a solution
Springer said that one way that you can prevent becoming a victim of check theft and fraud is to send payments via certified mail so that someone has to sign for the check.
