Stay clear of bears

Recent Black Bear sightings in the city of Lebanon has Conservation Agents concerned that people may be placing themselves in harm’s way. Conservation Agent Jarrad Milligan says the bear population is growing and chances are people will see them.

Milligan said the Department of Conservation takes steps to sh00 the animal away from populated areas, or if a bear becomes dangerous they might euthanize it. Milligan reminds everyone, do not feed a bear, and maintain your distance if you see one.
