State Trooper struck during traffic stop

A Trooper with Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol was transported to an area hospital after being struck by a vehicle near the 127 Mile Marker of I-44, this morning. According to Sergeant Mike Mitchell with the Highway Patrol, the Trooper was outside his vehicle when he was hit….

The driver of that vehicle is currently in custody, and authorities are investigating. The Trooper was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.   KJEL Radio have more information as it becomes available.
