State Fair Hog Show Winner

A Chillicothe High School Graduate brought home top honors at the Missouri State Fair during the hog show on Friday. Connor Keithley’s crossbred hog earned the slap from the judges.

Keithley’s hog weighed in at a relatively light 225 pounds. He admits that it’s rare for a hog of that size to win it all, but he credits his family and supporters for helping him along.

This will be the third trip to the Sale of Champions for the recent Chillicothe High School graduate. Keithley’s reserve grand champion barrow last year went for a record 35-thousand, 68 dollars.

Reserve Grand Champion honors went to Wyatt Collard of Oronogo. The Carthage FFA member showed a crossbred barrow weighing in at 290 pounds. Remington Isaacs of Chillicothe had the top hog in the 4-H division, a 270-pound crossbred.
