St. Robert Man Back In Court Facing Additional Charges

31-year-old James I. Vaughn of the St. Robert area, who was arraigned in Pulaski County Associate Circuit Court in Waynesville earlier this month on charges of rape in the first degree and sodomy in the first degree, has appeared in court for a second time and has been arraigned on additional charges of domestic assault in the first degree and the unlawful use of a weapon.
Court documents allege that Vaughn on February 2nd strangled a victim four separate times, pulled a gun on her, and pointed it at her face, thus knowingly exhibiting a firearm in an angry or threatening manner.
Vaughn entered not guilty pleas to the charges. Judge Colin Long ordered him to personally appear for a counsel status hearing on February 28th and a preliminary hearing on March 30th.
