S&T ranked 82nd overall in the U.S. News’ Best Engineering Schools

Missouri S&T graduate engineering programs are on the rise in the U.S. News and World Report Rankings. The newest rankings, released Tuesday, have S&T ranked 82nd overall in the U.S. News’ Best Engineering Schools. Beyond that, several specific degree programs have seen their rankings rise over the last year. Chemical engineering rose three spots from 87 to 84. Environmental engineering jumped to 47 from 54. Mechanical engineering went from 69 to 61 in 2023. Nuclear engineering rose one spot to number 18, and petroleum engineering did the same to rise to number 14. U.S. News based its rankings on 202 surveyed engineering schools. The rankings are based on assessments of academic quality, faculty resources, student-to-faculty ratios, research activity, and student selectivity.
